Facebook is making so many changes and trying to make its user feel secured by tightening its security holes and bugs. Facebook is now one of the most used social networking site so it becomes important for them to control users’ privacy and make them feel secured.
Today facebook has announced a very new, unique and an important security update ! They have launched a new Login Notifications service. This service sends notification to the user whenever their account is accessed from any other places or devices which they have not authorised. This is a very important update as far as security is concerned as the users were not aware till now if someone opens their account from other places without letting them know. So now users can authorised their devices they use to login to facebook and make some devices unauthorised so that when their account is accessed from that unauthorised place, they get a notification and they can take the necessary steps they want !
To set your own account settings and try out this new service, Go to your Account settings page and click on account security at the bottom of that list and click on the mark box if you want to receive notifications for this service. After that you will have to provide a name of the devices you want to authorise.
If someone login from the device which you have not authorised, facebook will ask them to authorised it and you will be sent a notification.
Facebook has also built a new security system which allows you to block suspicious login to your account which you can check here.
